Pre Retirement Planning

Retirement planning is one of the most important areas of financial planning, as it will determine when you can retire and the type of lifestyle you can enjoy. It could be the longest most enjoyable holiday of your life or alternatively the most worrying. Our aim is to take away all these worries and help you plan for the best time of your life and by understanding your needs we can supply you with the solutions you need to achieve your goals.

What we will do with you:

We firstly establish your retirement goals such as when you wish to retire, and how much income you will need and the things that you would like to achieve in retirement.

We then take account of your current provisions including your state pension provision and existing pension benefits and other investments such as ISA, Unit Trusts, Deposit Savings and Investment Bonds.

With this information we can then project forward to enable us to establish in today's terms your pension income and any shortfall and then put in place steps you need to take to help you bridge that gap and achieve your targets.

We then agree a structure to review your retirement planning on a regular basis and adjust where necessary to ensure that you achieve your dream of a comfortable and rewarding retirement.

Post Retirement Planning

- How much tax free cash should I take from my personal pensions?

- Will my savings, investments and pensions provide me with enough income?

- Do I have to purchase an annuity?

- Should I consider Income Drawdown

- Can I provide for my spouse?

- What happens to my pension if I die?.

These are just a few of the many questions that we are asked by clients who come to us for advice. Your retirement should be one of the most rewarding times of your life, when you then have the time to achieve most of the things on your 'wish list'. Our aim is to understand the areas that are important to you and help you achieve your dreams.

Deciding on how best to use your pensions and savings is the most important decision you will ever make and this can be a worrying and confusing time with so many options now available and not knowing which one to choose.
